I'm 72 originally from Switzerland and moved to New Zealand in 1980. Dancing was always a passion of mine especially Rock'n'Roll. Seven years ago we moved from Auckland to Pauanui and never looked back.
Many years ago I tried line dancing, but only for one session and it was a total fail for me... well that's what I thought then anyway.
When I heard that Donna starts 'Salty Steppers' classes in Pauanui that gave me a chance to learn line dancing from the beginning with other people who were first timers as well. I really enjoy it and having Donna as our teacher, she is so much fun. It gets your brain working full time, although the feet sometimes move in the wrong direction! I like the great selection of songs, it just gets you dancing.
My favourite dances are AH SI, love potion 666 and Azizam.
The 'GIVE IT A GO' class is an excellent opportunity to try line dancing if you like music and dancing.
